Windows Guru calls for IE7 Boycott

"My advice is simple: Boycott IE. It's a cancer on the Web that must be stopped. IE isn't secure and isn't standards-compliant, which makes it unworkable both for end users and Web content creators. Because of their user bases, however, Web developers are hamstrung into developing for IE at the expense of established standards that work well in all other browsers. You can turn the tide by demanding more from Microsoft and by using a better alternative Web browser. I recommend and use Mozilla Firefox, but Apple Safari (Macintosh only) and Opera 8 are both worth considering as well."

You sould have seen the riot that statement made on a "you sould never say anything bad about a Microsoft product" board. They worshipped the guy until now. Seems like you lose all your credibility as a guru if you don't say what they like to hear.

Just my $0.02!!!

Yeah I can say I agree with that tis sad when someone is honest and gets a damn good kicking when hes doing people a favor, he could continue to colour the truth but no one would thank him for that either.

I like people to speak there mind therefore I appreciate this post. I for one would use firefox except I cannot browse many pages that I or my family frequent and I dont like using more than one browser. Firefox's one bigest weakness it that you cannot go everywhere while IE can. Sorry but that is the truth how I see it.
