id's Enemy Territory: Quake Wars

id Software and Activision today announced Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, a new strategic shooter by Splash Damage (Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory). The game pits humans vs invading Strogg forces, as they battle for control of Earth. Quake Wars promises strategic gameplay, persistent character promotions, day and night-time battles, and vehicle support. It's also mentioned that Quake Wars is powered by id Software's new MegaTexture rendering technology.

Could be interesting on account of the previous Enemy Territory game was an excellent multiplayer experience. They just need to keep some of the best elements from it, like some objective oriented goals and such. I hope they don't make the maps too big though, seeing as in the Battlefield series 80% of the gameplay is about transportation.
