nVidia GeForce 6200 GPU – Surprising Budget Gaming

Today we are taking a look at the GeForce 6200 reference graphics card from nVidia which is designed to take on ATI's Radeon X300 in the low-end PCI Express VGA marketplace. After taking a detailed look at the GPU and graphics card, we compare in our usual array of benchmarks against an older GeForce PCX5900 and Radeon X300. You might be surprised by the budget gaming performance like we were.

I was wowed untill my brain kicked in an I looked at the details

IMpossable a 300/600 true 128bit card could beat a true 256bit (5900) one at much higher clockrates must be nvidia driver trickery @ it's finest

other wise the top nvidia lines would be performing alot higher

Also why was this reviewer running old versions of games? ones that wer basted for haveing nvidia specfic otumizations tht affected IQ and FPS adversly like far cry 1.0 what about 1.1 , 1.2 , and the 1.3 patch thats been out for mouths now must of got higher scores in 1.0 in thie testeing or nvidia haded then the results lol ... Halo 1.0 um halo at like 1.4 or 1.5 patch etc Doom III... all nvidia optumized ment to be played games and 3dmark 01/03 wheres they've cheated for years ARG....

Wheres HL2? Were is 3dmark 04? EH?

Nothing like a verry inaccuare set of bechmarks! to start the day
I'll wait till a real, fair, UNBIAS, updated, bechmark is ran before I impose judgement about the 6200 series so should you....

Well they did use the 1 and only approved driver as per madOnion.com, which I believe is supposed to mean they do not do 3dmark specific optimizations. So Driver Trickery doesn't really seem like it would be the case.

However I do disagree with the use of only "Nvidia, The way its mean't to be played" games. Plus the review also used an old release of the ATi Drivers...so overall you are correct Neon this was not an accurate review.

seems to do really well!

"IMpossable a 300/600 true 128bit card could beat a true 256bit (5900) one at much higher clockrates" so you just sum up the numbers and get a result? you forgot the core architechture....
