Uninstall previous drivers completely before attempting to install new ones. I personally like to uninstall the driver set, then uninstall the card itself from the windows hardware tree, and let it be recognized all over again before installing new driver sets. I see better performance that way (and far fewer conflicts)

i did uninstall the old drivers and the video card. i got an mx400 so i guess theyre making the new detonator 40 drivers to be better for more expensive cards. i hope this is only true for the beta version.

Older cards = best used with drivers that came with it.
my old POS Gf2 MX PCI card in my server runs almost 1.5x faster with the drivers that came with it vs the latest Detonator drivers.
Its s server so I really don't care but thats still something to keep in mind.

arrh the Mx's
I have a Abit Geforce2MX modded to Quadro 2 MXR(using riva tuner & modded nvidia reference Quadro MXR Bios, can't be arsed to solder resistors which would make it perm) I have extensivley tested all dets for this card..The fastest & most stable in Open GL & Direct 3D for the the 2MX are the 30.30's anything above that & speed starts getting slower for the older cards, also some of later Dets, also produce funcky effects in Open GL! hope this helps! using these on my card I get between 3400 - 3600 3dmarks depending what settings I have selected (card is clocked 205mem 220 core)

Everybody has been finding out that these newer dets are mainly made for the newer cards and have shown a tendency to screw the older cards up.
