"The main problem with today’s cases is wiring, a while back multiple IDE cables, large power supplies and less components meant that there was relatively no mess inside the case. These days however you can expect an average case to have at least 2 CD-ROMs, 2 hard drives, a decent sized power supply and at least one floppy drive. Not to mention front wired USB/Audio ports which traipse even more wires through the case.
Apart from the obvious mess which causes difficulty accessing key components, the mess also causes airflow restrictions and increased interference. For these reasons Vantec has taken the idea of grouping wires together using special sleeving… now what could be so special about the Sleeving you ask? Well for one it expands when pushed together and then tightens when pulled (much like a chinese finger trap toy), but the best feature comes from its UV reactive properties which under UV light allow the Sleeving to glow a mutant green colour. (Or any of the other colours in the range available to purchase)."
