Benq announced two new DVD recorders, DW1620 and DW1610, that are expected to go on sale this month with MSRP of $130 and $150, respectively.
DW1610 provides the following recording speeds: 8x DVD-R, 16x DVD+R (177.28 Mbps; about 6 minutes for a 4.7GB blank), 4x DVD+RW, 40x CD-R, 24x CD-RW. Read speeds are 40x CD and 16x DVD.
DW1620 is almost identical to DW1610, but also supports 2.4x DVD+R DL (dual-layer) recording.
