Back in 1998, I remember my jaw dropping in amazement the first time I played the original Tribes. I became even more amazed after I understood everything that was going on (which, frankly, took some time). Tribes 2 upped the ante with six vehicles, larger maps, and the kind of mayhem that only this franchise allows. Alas, it was also seriously flawed for the first six months or so of its existence, due to being pushed out the door a little too early. Once those issues were addressed, though, the second game pretty much built on everything that made the first so endearing, and the addiction started anew.
For Tribes: Vengeance, the team at Irrational Games hasn't strayed too far from the successful formula, but some important and major changes have occurred. All of the vehicles are brand new, there are new weapons and packs, inventory stations are different, and more. For the second part of our exclusive look at Tribes: Vengeance, we'll cover how the multiplayer feels in the latest iteration.
