Default Post Versa Touch - New Slim-Line Touch PC

Versa Touch Targets Kiosk, Automotive, And Industrial Applications

Answering the call to provide improved flexibility and modularity for OEM and Systems Integrators, TouchSystems Corporation today launched Versa Touch, a new slim-line touch PC, featuring LCD display and PC modules that can be configured as one or separated up to 12 feet apart.

Versa Touch houses a Pentium III, providing up to 1 GHz processor speed. It comes built to order, allowing OEM’s and S.I’s to purchase bare-bone systems and/or configure to meet specific customer requirements. Options include high-bright display, front bezel, slim-type CD ROM/DVD, and LVDS kit. Pentium IV will be available in Q4 2002.

Available now, Versa Touch is offered at $2020 quantity one pricing. Introductory special includes 15” TFT resistive touchscreen LCD module, Pentium III 850 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM, floppy, and 10 gig hard drive. Price is good through September 30, 2002. Call for volume pricing and/or custom configuration and specifications.

Versa Touch is targeted primarily for slim-design kiosk integration and industrial applications, allowing the display and computer to be mounted vertical or horizontal to each other, saving depth and stabilizing the base.

The optional LVDS kit is perfect for automotive applications, such as emergency vehicles, where the computer is installed in the rear or trunk and the display mounted several feet away for easy access.

Versa Touch features a TFT touch LCD display and comes with your choice of capacitive or resistive touch screen technology. It is offered in 12”, 15”, and 17” LCD display sizes. When the display and PC are integrated, Versa Touch 15” measures a compact 15.6” (H) x 13.2” (W) x 2.5”(D). The optional bezel is offered in small, large, and aluminum.
