PCI Express pulled kicking and screaming into existence

"INTEL, INTEL ON THE WALL, when will you finally launch a PCI-E chipset for us all?

Most Taiwanese motherboard manufacturers are now ready with products for launch on the 21st of June.

The move to PCI Express, many told us over the last 10 days, will be long and painful. I would not be surprised if Intel officially enables its hidden AGP functionality for the 915 chipset due to the possible high demand.

Intel officially denied that such a thing is possible. But everyone knows different.

AGP just won't die easily and the graphics card companies will still end up selling AGP cards even 18 months after PCI Express is launched."
