Please go to for the link to the Windows Update V5 RC1 page along with detailed instructions on accessing Windows Update V5 RC1 and installing the bug reporting client (Microsoft Beta client).
For Windows XP SP2 Beta Testers
If you are a Windows XP SP2 Beta tester, please download and install Windows XP SP2 RC1 to set up your computer for the Windows Update V5 RC1 experience, including Automatic Update and the Windows Update V5 RC1 website. Note that the Windows XP SP2 beta Windows Update V5 site will be phased out in the near future. Once the site is removed, anyone trying to reach it will get an error. If you have not yet upgraded to Windows XP SP2 RC1, please do so before performing any further Windows Update V5 RC1 testing. "
