Default Post Video CD Recorder

First-Ever Digital Audio and Video Recorder Available At New Low Price

Terapin Technology, developer and manufacturer of a range of innovative and easy-to-use convergent consumer electronic products, announced today that its Video CD Recorder will be available for $299. The product was previously priced at $499.

"We're excited to offer this innovative and consumer-friendly product at an even more affordable price," said Adam Hartway, director of sales and marketing for the Americas Division. "Now more people will be able to use the Terapin Video CD Recorder to transfer audio or video from MPEG-1, home videos or even audio from their records or cassette tapes to inexpensive CD-R or CD-RW discs lasting up to 100 years."

The Terapin Video CD Recorder captures video input from camcorders, TVs, VCRs, DVDs or cable boxes and writes it to either a CD-R or CD-RW. At TV-quality resolution, the Video CD Recorder writes on 74 or 80 minute CD-R/CD-RW discs. Each disc can be programmed with up to 99 "chapters" - reference points to make video or audio segments easy to navigate.

The stylish product also captures audio input from a CD, cassette tape, vinyl record or tuner, among others, and writes it onto a CD-R/CD-RW. Once the video and/or audio is recorded, the disc will playback on the recorder, as well as on multimedia computers, VCD and DVD players that play CD-R's and CD-RW's

The technology has immediate applications for both recreational and professional use. Home videos, as well as corporate promotional and training videos, can be reproduced in a non-deteriorating format for about 50 cents each - the average cost of a high-quality recordable CD.

The Terapin Video CD Recorder is available now at stores across the nation for just $299.
