Thermaltake 4 Channel VR Fan Kit

Alot of Thermaltake news has been sent our way today, here is another !

December 2003 - Taipei, Taiwan ¡V Thermal management has become a critical task when maintaining a stable computer system. The world-class leader in thermal solution, Thermaltake Technology Co. Ltd, today announced the release of their latest total solution: 4 Channel VR Fan Kit.

information here here and here

By now, most users have realized the importance of a good CPU heat sink fan to efficiently cool off the processor. But what they have to understand is that once the heat has been extracted from the processor, it stays inside the enclosure and puts more thermal strains on other parts of the system said Yilin Chiu, PM at Thermaltake. Channel VR Fan Kit will allow users to address that issue by simply turning a few knobs 4 Channel VR Fan Kit is a combination of 4 high performance fans and an aluminum 3.5¨ control bay.

Each of the four fans is strategically placed inside the enclosure with two intakes and two exhaust.

Via the 3.5¨ controller bay, users can adjust each fan individually to increase air flow or decrease overall noise output.

VR Fan Kit will be available in 3 combinations:
1) 4 x 80mm Fan and 1 x 4 Channel Fan Controller.
2) 2 x 80mm Fan, 2 x 90mm Fan and 1 x 4 Channel Fan Controller.
3) 2 x 80mm Fan, 2 x 120mm Fan and 1 x 4 Channel Fan Controller.

Interesting looking package.
The one thing I do like about this Dell 4300 case I have here is that the CPU is cooled directly(through ductwork) to an outgoing fan mounted on the rear of the case.

The ductwork is hinged to allow easy cleaning and the heat is not dissipated into the main enclosure.
The others components are cooled by a second rear mounted outgoing fan.

When I upgrade I was thinking of keeping the case and adding a side mounted in going fan. As well as upgrading the existing two fans.

Well my Ex needed the AMD system we had for her work.
I picked this Dell up because it was all I could afford at the time.

To be honest Z I have nothing but good things to say about it. I like the case .. There support is awesome.
Its not a high end super fast rig but its reliable and has served me well
