TerraTec announces strategic alliance with Ulead Software
TerraTec Electronic (www.terratec.co.uk), a leading European multimedia manufacturer, today announced that it is entering into a strategic alliance with Ulead Systems, a leading developer of image, video, and DVD software, in order to further expand TerraTec's own video editing and DVD authoring solutions.
"When two manufacturers enter into an arrangement like this, it is, the customers who really benefit. When hardware and software have been optimally attuned to one another, creativity has free rein," says Heiko Meertz, Managing Director, TerraTec. "This agreement goes far beyond mere product bundling. Our hardware is being technically optimised for Ulead software - from the earliest stages of design- and vice versa. The results of these efforts will be truly seamless solutions."
The Ulead MediaStudio Pro 6.5 DVD VE and VideoStudio 7.0 SE video editing solutions, as well as the SE version of the DVD MovieFactory 2 DVD authoring application, are already being provided in software bundles, and as applications for enhanced functionality with Cameo editing boards, including the Cameo Convert and Cameo Grabster 200.
"Our partnership with TerraTec reflects a relationship based on trust, whilst also demonstrating the true compatibility between TerraTec's hardware solutions and our software," said Andreas Lakeberg, Director of Business Development, Ulead Systems GmbH. "The ongoing development in the home entertainment sector demands high-quality products. As a result of this agreement with TerraTec, we are able to offer customers a complete package not only for recording and editing videos, but also for authoring VCDs, SVCDs and DVDs."
In the very near future, TerraTec products will be bundled with state-of-the-art Ulead software. Both a new mobile AV solution, as well as an entry-level video editing board that will be appearing on the market in the coming weeks, will be bundled with VideoStudio 7 and MovieFactory 2. Ulead MediaStudio 7 and DVD Workshop will be included as a part of a professional video editing solution, whilst Video Studio 7 will be bundled with a new digital TV board.
