These lack the ability to map mouse buttons to keystrokes and here I was thinking driver updates were supposed to add functionality..heh.

Microsoft have really outdone themselves with this software update
They have completely removed the options for program specific settings. And now the middle mouse button does not have the option to be "Middle Mouse" button, it defaults to "Next Window" (Alt+Tab), even when an appliction has the abitility to use the middle mouse button. eg. fast scrolling in IE

That is fine for the middle mouse button. But try setting a button to a keystroke, or getting the side buttons to work in games like MOHAA, Splinter Cell etc. where they aren't supported, and you'll find out that your advice is completely useless. And please don't refer to me as a newbie because I only have a postcount of 8, I am far from being a newbie with software and drivers

Ok newbie, did you ever think about finding some way to adapt or were you too busy trying to find something negative to say? Try this, if this version doesn't work, stop fighing it and go back the the previous one. Wow what a novel idea! :P

I already have gone back to 4.12 and that one works fine. I have been repairing computers, programming databases, working as a computer technician and done a HNC in Computing and Information Technology, so I think I know that if I don't like v5.0 I can go back to 4.12. Do you work for Microsoft or something? Maybe your Bill Gates! Or maybe you just need to take a chill pill Bill.
BTW - Nice website

It kept giving me an error message. I finally uninstalled it, I don't need a window popping up in games to mess with me.
