Using WiFi For Home Media Broadcasting
For a long time now, I've been looking for a way to install a better "jukebox" system in my home. Keeping track of a collection of over 200 CDs that cover a broad range from blues to rock, classical to jazz, and popular to weird, has become a problem of indexing and just plain square footage. I can never seem to find what I want to hear at just the moment I want to hear it. And, it always seems like I'm in the wrong room to hear what is playing in some other room in the house.
So what I would like is the ability to play something from my collection at a central location, and have it available to me anywhere in the house. This central jukebox has to be easy to program and accessible from any room.
Over the years, I have tried various solutions to build this "better home jukebox." To see some of the things I've tried and the reasons they just didn't work turn the page.
