Belkin 54g wireless networking compliant with IEEE 802.11g

One for all you people interested in some new wireless networking kit:

NORTHAMPTON, UK - 16th June 2003 - Belkin Components, the leading manufacturer of computer peripherals and accessories, today announced full compliance with the newly ratified IEEE 802.11g specification for its entire 54g wireless networking line. The Belkin 54g line is currently shipping globally.

Belkin's latest revisions of 54g products include all necessary features to comply with the specification ratified by the IEEE committee and will interoperate with other 802.11g- or 802.11b-compliant products. Consumers can be assured that 54g products purchased from Belkin will offer all the advantages of the 802.11g specification. Additionally, Belkin 54g Access Points & Routers shipped prior to the ratification are immediately upgradeable to meet the fully ratified 802.11g specification via drivers that are available as free downloads from the Belkin website www.belkin.co.uk/support

"We feel that the new 802.11g specification will help drive commonality and reduce confusion in the wireless market, both of which are important strategic goals of Belkin," states Eric Tong, U.S. Director of Marketing and Product Management.
