1st GeForce FX 5900 Ultra Graphics Cards in the USA to Appear In July

BFG Technology has just said it had begun shipping its Asylum GeForce FX 5900 Ultra graphics cards to prominent gaming system builders worldwide. The company believes the first retail graphics cards on the GeForce FX 5900 Ultra will make appearance in early July.

We recently reported the preliminary information concerning availability of ASUS GeForce FX 5900 graphics cards in Japan (see this news-story). The cards were said to appear starting from the 24th of June. BFG Technology claims its Asylum GeForce FX 5900 Ultra will appear at major retailers by July 4, 2003, so, we are now almost sure that there will be no GeForce FX 5900 graphics cards in retail massively this month, but expect them to hit the stores in July. I will have to confirm the more or less concrete dates for Europe and Asia, since now we only have information about the USA and Japan.

BFG Asylum GeForce FX 5900 Ultra features 256MB memory with 256-bit memory bus, a 450MHz core clock, and full Direct X 9.0 support. The graphics card also offers multi-display support with its D-Sub, DVI, Video-In/Video-Out connectors and comes bundles with Ulead VideoStudo 7 SE editing software and NVIDIA NVDVD 2.0 multimedia software. The solution will retail for $499.
