9800 Pro competition has closed. Terry Makedon will announce winner!
Guys ive closed the ATI competition, it will take me a day to sort out the entries, and to get all the statistics together. It had over 650 entries and 10,000 views, so it looks like everyone wants one of these babies, and who can blame them.
Tomorrow (Friday), Driverheaven will be posting a HOT new interview with Terry Makedon who has some fantastic news for all our ATI users, and at the end of the interview he will be announcing the winner of the awesome built by ATI Radeon 9800 pro.
So make sure you keep your eyes posted, both for the interview and the winner, you never know it might be you !!

Hmmm, now you have me very interested- What news could be fantastic for ALL of us that use ATI products. A driver? Naw- we just got a driver- what could it be? Hmmm.....

OH!! I know!!! EVERYBODY that entered the contest will get themselves a shiny new 9800? Erm....well, maybe not.
Seriously though, I wonder what this 'great news' could be.....
I'll be sure to scope that news/interview tomorrow.

hehe, you wouldn't want the card I'm going to replace with this. I would keep the r9700pro in my main pc, becuase its already all set-up with the shim removed and the watercooling system mounted and the special coating to prevent condensation. I'm going to put it in my 2nd pc to replace a 3dfx Voodoo 5 6000, which would then go into my 3rd pc to replace a Matrox Pharhelia, which would then go into my 4th pc to replace a Nvidia TNT2 card. No one would want a TNT2 card anymore.

When you say all...
Do you actually mean "ALL" ATI Users? Or just ATI users who have DX9 cards? I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

I have 7 pcs that would be considered current and more than 70 different classic computers including: an altair, a osbourne 1, the original mac model, various amiga versions, every TRS-80 model, commerdore 64 and 128, all of the versions of the apple II, and the list just goes on and on. I even have punch card readers and writers with a few punch cards and 2 8 inch floppy disks with a drive to read them. (its like the size of 2 standard tower cases)
Now you just hate me right?

I do hope it sounds something like "75% price cut on all 9xxx series". Now that would be sweet! I'd be the first dude to buy 3 nice little 9800Pros. Anyway, I wouldn't mind another nice set of drivers either.

Heck, I sure do now!!!
(Actually the Osbourne 1 sounds the most intriguing to me...I've got a soft-spot for 'em for some reason. No real reason, just it's place in history and all. )
I think I'm actually more excited to hear about a new Terry interview than the winner of the card, although I'm pretty sure someone is going to be buggered up happy to get it!
I can't wait...but I guess I have to.

Looking forward to the interview .. I so enjoy interviews with knowledgeable people such as Terry and Ben
Too bad NVIDIA couldn't show a little more "DH" spirit
I'll be wearing my ATI ballcap for good luck.
Congrats to the winner ....... Man I don't wish to be greedy ... I hope its me ...
I really need a new Viddy Card
But I hardly WIN anything, well until recently

WOW!!! I can't wait to see who wins! It may not be me, but I could really use the card. Then I would be able to RMA my other card....in need of some repairs!
