Futuremark bans GPU physics from Hall Of Fame

NVIDIA launched its PhysX on GeForce driver a while back. It proved to be a real killer 3DMark Vantage as it was able to accelerate performance in one of the CPU tests far beyond of what a regular physics accelerator card could do. This was of course controversial since this was not how Futuremark intended it to work. Accusations of cheating started to around but disappeared after a while. It all refloated after that CJ told VR-Zone that the NVIDIA PhysX installation replaced files in the Vantage directory.

Childish wining

It seams Futuremark is acting childish here - the results NVIDIA obtained are valid and should be included!

If nVidia was modifying the PhysicX files in Vantages dir it means that they are modifying the test to their advantage that's not fair play at all from my point of view. So I think that Futuremark made the right call in here.

futuremark made the right choice..

until futuremark develops a benchmark system that is designed for that kind of system.. it should be prevented... IF the case is indeed that nvidia went ahead and replaced the files with thier own... that's instantly a no no imo.
