Spam experiment overloads inboxes
Surfing the web unprotected will leave the average web user with 70 spam messages each day, according to an experiment by security firm McAfee. It invited 50 people from around the world, including five from the UK, to surf without spam filters.

Only 70? That seems low. I think it's because these victims only used their accounts for 30 days.

That's a lot, in my eyes, actually. I only get about 3 a day, if any, and even those end up in my Spam box.

Going by a report i posted a while ago,the average post per week from spammers/Scammers is something in the region of 30m per week.

I use this email for everything I sign up for / whatever wants my email address.
But yah, 3 a day. And it's a Yahoo account.
Maybe it's because it's a SBC Global Yahoo account, meaning I have their internet service. Might make it special, or something.

I find yahoo email quite good at filtering spam. 99% of the time the spam email will be delivered in the spam folder. I like it.
I get about 10-20 spam emails per 24h, though at one point a couple of years ago that number was 20 times more.
