Wistron to acquire Lite-On display business

Lite-On Technology has announced that it will sell its Digital Display business unit to Wistron for NT$9.2 billion (US$302.17 million), with the transaction expected to complete in the third quarter of 2008.

The acquisition of the Digital Display business unit will include inventory, machinery and IP, but not land and structures, which will be leased to Wistron for a short period, Lite-On said. Wistron will then move the equipment to its own plants within one to two years.
