Zalman CNPS9700 NT vs Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme

A quick poll of BleedinEdge members, on the subject of air coolers, showed two favorites. The Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme and the Zalman CNPS9700.

I've always been a bit of a Zalman fanboy. I know that if I haven't kept up with the latest and greatest, I can just buy a top of the range Zalman, and it won't be far off the mark.

But lately I find more and more of my air coolers are from Thermalright. I had both coolers and so was prompted to put the two coolers head to head. Here's how it went.
