Apple announces Windows browser
Source: BBC News
_______________
Apple has launched a version of its web browser Safari for Windows, competing head to head with Microsoft's Explorer and Mozilla's Firefox.
Chief executive Steve Jobs said Apple "dream big" and wanted to expand the 4.9% market share Safari enjoys.
Mr Jobs was speaking at a conference of developers for Apple products in San Francisco, California.

Honestly, I don't think that 4.9% market share will change much, if at all

So, is the html performance for Opera as bad as they say? According to Apple it's worse than IE7.
I think I'll give a try but I'll most likely stick with Firefox.

Steve Jobs and Bill O'Reilly should start a show together called the "no lie zone". A perfect match.
It probably didn't take too much work to port the browser to Windows so it won't hurt Apple if it doesn't hit on, but it sure feels redundant to have yet another web browser out there. Unlike iTunes there's nothing that forces people to use it.

I can't wait till I'll need the safari browser installed so i can see ads in itunes that I don't care about, along with crappy quicktime. *sarcasm*
I enjoy what I got with vista, the codec pack by CCCP makes life nice and easy, I hate safari's interface and quicktime and itunes. But I do like OSX!
