CDMA Wireless Modem Modules

The leader in CDMA wireless technology has just raised the industry standard. AnyDATA Corporation (www.AnyDATA.net) today announced the release of its DTG series of wireless modem modules, the smallest and fastest in the world.

Powered by the new Qualcomm MSM6050 CDMA chip set with a TCP/IP stack built into each module for use by the application programmer, the DTG series measures just 38.5mm by 38.5mm and transmits data at up to 153 Kbps. The modules are fully BREW capable, allowing direct loading and execution of application programs, and include an R-UIM/MIDI/MP3 interface as well as an audio analog interface. DTG modules also support Circuit Data and fax.

"Not only are the DTG modules an inexpensive wireless CDMA 2000 wireless solution with single and dual band capability, they also provide the GPSONE position location solution, which offers wireless callers their location wherever and whenever they need it," said Ed Huelsman, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing/U.S. "This field-proven wireless module series will give our clients immediate access to the current and future wireless internet data market."

The DTG modules are optimized for easy OEM applications, including PDA and wireless access terminals, traffic light and outdoor lighting control, real-time data acquisition via wireless Internet, industrial robot control, wireless parking meter control, mobile object location positioning, wireless remote alarms, security monitoring systems, wireless telemetry systems, and remote environmental monitoring. "The DTG modules are easy to use and specially designed for OEM customers with no prior telecommunications experience," Huelsman explained.

The DTG series includes the DTG 2000-Dual targeted for the US cellular and PCS markets, the DTG 800A for Asia and South America, and the DTG 450 for Eastern Europe, China, and Russia. Because of the small size of each module, they are ideally suited and available for phone manufacturers worldwide.

Working closely with partners, AnyDATA Corporation plans to incorporate the DTG modules into many application products, including solutions for automatic vehicle location, point-of-sale terminals, telemetry, public safety, and advertising. The company's upcoming iPORT EMIV product line will also contain the DTG series modules.
