NEW YORK (Reuters) - Sprint Nextel Corp. said on Thursday that it had secured a $1 million settlement from 1st Source Information Specialists in a suit over the sale of phone call records.
The settlement comes after months of scrutiny by major U.S. cell phone companies and lawmakers of companies offering to sell call record data via Web sites. There had been as many as forty Internet sites advertising such information.
