A preliminary list of games that are confirmed for exhibition at this year's
Tokyo Game Show was announced today by event coordinators Nikkei BP and the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association. The list covers the games and booths of 93 companies that registered by July 21 at the 2006 show, which runs from September 22-24. Currently, 140 companies are signed up, accounting for a grand total of 1,709 partition spaces.
While Sony and Microsoft's next generation platforms are represented, there's no mention of Nintendo's Wii. However, this is only a preliminary list, and several big names--including Square Enix and Sony Computer Entertainment--have not revealed their software plans. Some heavyweights have only given vague outlines of what will be at their booths. For example, Konami promises that the "latest titles" in the Metal Gear Solid and Bemani series will be shown, but the company hasn't spilled any details.
