OTTAWA - Software maker Corel Corp., a leading Microsoft Corp. rival, Tuesday said it will go public in an initial offering of shares in the United States and Canada.
The shares will be sold by the company and by selling shareholders, Ottawa-based Corel said.
Corel, which makes WordPerfect Office software, didn't say how much it aims to raise in the IPO, which hasn't been priced.
