Microsoft Corp. appealed on Monday a ruling by South Korea's antitrust watchdog ordering the U.S. firm to unbundle its media player and messaging services from its Windows software.
The world's biggest software company was ordered in December to separate its media player and instant messaging services from Windows or allow embedding of rival products on its system in South Korea. The written report of the ruling was issued in late February and Microsoft was given 30 days to appeal.
"Microsoft today filed an appeal with the Seoul High Court to review the decision in the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) case against Microsoft," it said in a statement.
