arrow any hope here?? (damaged old skool bh-5)(56k warning)

1st RAM stick i ever bought, Corsair 3200LL V1.1. Got it to go along with my A7N8X-D, and 9800XT, one time while messin round tunin up my rig, i decided to move the RAM to a different slot to see about different resaults, mind you this is a while ago and have since been through about 2.5 other setups, anyway, moved the ram booted, probs, cant recall what, but i know it was immediate, powerdown and replaced RAM to original spot and boots fine, left alone for the rest of the time i was runnin the asus, went to 225 @ 2,3,2,6 w/ max volt in modded asus bios 2.9 V, while its runnin fine i notice in the RAM slot it didnt do so well in, one of the pin areas was all melted and disformed,

when i got a different board and RAM, the RAM i got was bad so i went for the corsair and pulled it out to find it all sooty and black, the PIN that was in the melted slot(one not being used) was all charcoaly, i wiped it and the trace for that one came off as a tiny piece of foil on my finger! Is this maybe the one that supplies power? It wont post.

Here are some pics, a friend and i discussed rear window defogger trace paint maybe, dunno, other than that i dont know what else i could really try, any ideas???

Logla is on a distinguished road

throw it in the bin mate. Its fried and there is no way you can repair it in the home. The pcb is busted now as well. Its probably been caused by the mobo. Check the pin connections in the dimm slot in the board - you may well find a similar situation there.

It looks like whatever was there inbetween it was definately conductive and had too little resistance and fried the SOB.

You could try and fix it but is it worth it? You could kill the mobo and everything else in it.

I'd give it to a friend and let them test it, mind you a friend you don't care about losing

when i first seen this on the RAM i noticed the contact pad was arched upward like sumthin got inserted behind it, i think when i put it in the slot while experimenting, the slots pin was slightly bent and pushed behind the trace on the RAM, RAM no boot so moved it back and it fit in the right way, albeit the contact PAD wass loosened so it was kind of arching in there makin all the black soot and mess, and when i wiped it

so the rewindow defooger paint ist very viable, will it be the wrong resistance??
just sux cause this is soma the older bh-5 and didnt even get to push it at all;(

You'd have to use whatever that other crap is but TBH I wouldve returned the stick once I saw that.

Too late now, may as well chuck it or make an ornament out of it
