hey I wanna upgrade my cpu which means mobo upgrade as well, since I dont wanna buy a new graphics card I get

Should be fine, though if you're not OC'ing the stock HSF would be fine... X2's run very cool and have really low voltages.... most older chips run between 1.5 and 1.75 volts, these ones run at 1.35

So I buy this now:
Asrock 939DUAL-SATA2
Zalman CNPS 9500 LED
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ which I hope I will OC to 4000+
Crucial DIMM 1 GB DDR-400 Kit 2-2-2-6
new 120 fans and artic silver cause I run out

Faster CPU aint worth it with the X800XL and I still dont see the need for 2GB ram. By the time I will need to upgrade I get socket AM2 and everything new anyway.

Yeah the 4200+ is just a higher clocked 3800+ (200 MHz difference)

Actually if you're doing alot of photo editing you might look at the Opteron 165, its basically an X2 chip, except its 1.8 Ghz and has 1MB of L2 vs. 512k per core, and its clocked at 1.8 Ghz. The good part is Opterons overclock like hell!

So if you're gonna OC I'd get that chip. Costs as much as an X2 3800+ but you get the Toledo cores
