I heard that the new RD580 based motherboards are delayed until next month if that's what you are wondering

I wonder what the 'reference ATI Crossfire' board was, in the X1900 review from this morning (Tues., 01/24). Hopefully, an RD580+SB460/SB600? I'd love to find out.

(I was actually going to buy a Lan Party 480/sb450 + x1800 last week, but decided to get the microatx (integrated vga!) MSI 482 board to hold me over until the RD580 stuff hits. I really really wanted an A8R, but the whole ULI/nVidia thing just gives me the heebie jeebies.)

Thank you Chaos.

I was OF COURSE referring to the new chipset... not the one that's been out for months.

You mean for less then a month becouse they just started showing
up with the exception of the DFI wich has been out like a month. I haven't
really heard too much about RD580 myself..

but you can rest assued there will be a sizeable wait before you see RD580/R485
as then ask who WOULD BUY the just released R482.. ?

EDIT:

Also keep in mind socket M2 with DDR2 support maybe comeing sometime
in the next few months

The RS580 was suppose to be released today, but it did not happen for some reason. They should be out pretty quickly i'd assume.
