DFI SLI Expert or Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe???

I will be overclocking my Opteron 144 cpu and I want a motherboard that will let me hit 2.8 ghz if the cpu let's me that is. I will also be running an EVGA 7800GT video card and will run SLI by the end of this year. Which motherboard is the best all around? I will be ordering by today so please reply as soon as possible.

DFI is known to be a really good OCing board. Can't really go wrong there. They have alot of voltage options and other thingsl ike Memtest built into the BIOS...plus they release alot of BIOS's, beta or otherwise.

I'd say DFI for OC'ing but hey I'm sure you'd hit 2.8 on an ASUS board, they do pretty well. Its just the DFI ones won't have your RAM limiting you 'coz you can hit 4.0V on the memory voltage

Thanks for the reply H3X4D3C1M4L. It's pretty difficult to choose between these two motherboards especially since they both cost over 200 dollars. I've read that the Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe can hit 310 htt with a 9x multiplier. That would give me close to 2.8 ghz. I wonder if I could hit 312 htt and still have the motherboard be 100 percent stable....

Yeah...I'm basing my opinion on the fact that the nForce2 ones were legendary for overclocking Athlon XP's past the 400 FSB barrier....some of them getting as far as 2.7 or 2.8 Ghz which is pretty darn good for an AXP

H3X4D3C1M4L, that's pretty interesting that the XP's were being overclocked that high. I have just received my Opteron 144 via fed ex. Seems as if I received the CAB2E stepping instead of the CACJE stepping which was said to be the only stepping available at the moment. Guess I got lucky!
