Have you tried manually jumping the pins on the mobo to see if it turns on?

Have you double checked to make sure thre power switch is in the on position on the PSU?

When you have it hooked up, is there an LED on the mobo that indicates it is getting any power at all?

I know these sound like simple things, but you didn't list any troubleshooting other than "I pushed the button and it didn't work."

If all that yousaif suggested fails, try another power supply.
