Lite-On DVD LTD-166S Drive Flash

Alright I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I decided to buy a new PSU for my system because I figured I need some more wattage for more fans to cool my warm system. Well, after the install of the new PSU the computer started having problems. I called up the place where I bought it and found out that this PSU has some problems on high end boards, so they said bring it back for a refund. However, after one more reboot with this PSU in it I noticed my Lite-On DVD drive said it was an ATA44 which I know does not exist. It used to say UDMA and now the drive does not work. Anyone out there have a problem similar to this and is there any hope for my drive? I tried flashing the drive, but the dang computer just keeps locking up in the process. Any help would be awesome!!!!! Thanks!
