Bahhhh XP 64bit is a hype, there are no real benefits from it and has worse support from the 32 bit version anyway

I will only upgrade to 64bit with Vista probably when the time comes and if it worths my money

Exactly
you just took it from my mouth

Anyway all these about "the wonderfull 64bit" are hypes spreading around these days and some easy-minded people just buying it...especially from what some company like Microsoft is saying to get your money

64bit OSSSSSSSSS
YOUR PERFORMANCEZZZ WILL EXPLODEZZZ AND YOUR GRAPHICKZZ WILL ROCKZZZZ

until they learn that the performance is just 5% better and making a big deal about that from what they had with a 32 bit OS ...

and as for Graphickzzzz it's all about programming and not in the "mirracles" of the 64bit technology

It's all better programming not about 64bit bringing the revolution in performance or better graphics to the Computers
What can be done in a 64bit OS can also be done at a 32 bit OS

People are so easy believing in companies marketing these days

I am staying with XP 32 SP2 for now
When 64 bit become the next attraction from the WINDOWS VISTA period or later then we will see if it really worths the time

but for now with the current XP 64 64bit it's just a pile of marketing

Microsoft can not live with Linux OS having already 64bit support before them...that's why the Windows XP 64 was created in reality and for nothing else

Hip hip horreyy for marketing and those who falls to it

I thought the same until I gave it some time to prove itself. After a few months I can honestly say that it is better and I have no intentions of ever going back to 32bit XP. A few of my reasons are;

-Boot times(not a big deal really but its nice to have my PC ready to rock before im comfortable in my chair)
-MUCH better use of dual core cpus. No more playing with affinity settings, no stuttering, no music/sounds/videos/games playing too fast or too slow.
-Faster multitasking(switching between mem hungry apps has really never been this good)
-Stability/speed. Might be my imagination but its just seems a lot snappier

Only setbacks are the drivers available and the driver sizes hehe

PandaZ3 is on a distinguished road

I am using a X2 4400 (240 X 11) and had OEM XP Pro X64 on it, now a beta Vesion of X64 with SP2. I have been using X64 for about a year and the drivers and all have really improved. I have "FS X" and "Company of Heros" "Far Cry 64" "BF2" no problems that I'm aware of.
