Well, i have the Asus one and like it alot. But it has some annoying bugs if you're into overclocking. For an example it won't let you keep your RAM at 1T over 240mhz bus speed. And there is also a bug with the Hypertransport link that you can't set it manually at let's say 4X multiplier... it just keeps reverting to 3X multi for some odd reason, not that it matter much for performance.
So if you're not an hardcore oc'er you won't be sorry with the A8N.
The MSI i have no experience with.....

The K8N platinum is an AGP board so keep that in mind. I have it and it works good. It is one of the best gaming boards if you have AGP.
If you have the money definately go with the Asus as PCI-E is more future proof. The performance gain is not that great so go with what you need or want the most.

if you mean the neo4 platinum/SLI.... that that without a doubt. Its a great board, and its onboard sound is one of the best on any AMD board @ the moment.

Ooops, yeah... you are probably correct. When he just said K8N platinum my knee-reaction is the NForce 3 Ultra board.
So ok, then I'd say it is a toss up call. Either two are probably going to make you happy with a little edge towards MSI as their boards are good overclockers generally.

So go for the Neo4 Platinum/SLI for SURE!!!!!!!!!!
The second best board for AMD, after, DFI NF4, of course.
I would go with the DFI NF4 Ultra-D or SLI-D.
In any case, good luck with your decision.

I'm using the A8N-SLI Deluxe, and it's great, has everything. the latest bios fixes up most of the problems with overclocking, allows 8 sata drives gigabit lan, firewire the works.
