Memory: this looks good *see's $* GAHHH!
I need advice for the RAM I will use in my system. I'm after 1Gb (two sticks) of PC3200 DDR that's stable and is both a powerful overclocker and performer (latter preferred). The following have taken my fancy: OCZ Platinum Revision 2, Kingston HyperX, Corsair TwinX C2, Geil Dual Channel Series.
I would like to not spend over AU$200. I'm not much of an overclocker, but there's always the chance I might do so in the future, that's why I'm more interested in performance that the potential to overclock.
What would you recommend out of the above or any others I haven't mentioned (e.g. Mushkin)?
Here's the system I'm planning to build, I've yet to buy a single piece of hardware though, I'm waiting for Stalker - Shadow Of Chernobyl to ship I'll be using an Athlon64 3800+ (939), MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum (nF4), Gecube Radeon X850XT Platinum (256, PCIe), Sound Blaster Audigy2 value and a Seagate 120Gb SATA2 (yet to look this up)
Cheers

Quick replys, thanks.
You mean I most likely won't find anything "that's stable and is both a powerful overclocker and performer (latter preferred)" under AU$200? Weeeeeeeak
I would have preferred the OCZ, simply because I'm prejudiced, but it would have cost me at least AU$400. I can get the Corsair 3200C2 TwinX at AU$229 from umart.com.au beat that!
But is Corsair really "that good" though? Does all the hype do them justice?

You had me confused for a moment there aXe. I'm using the Milton, Queensland online store. But now that I'm aware of the different products at the other stores, I'm going to take a gander.
I'm gathering the 1GB Dual Channel GEIL DDR RAM for AU$199 is a good thing?

for that price it is...
But with the different stores, i believe you can order from one store (whichever is cheepest) and get them to ship it to the store closest to you for pick up, or to your house. I know its works with the brisbane and goldcoast stores cause i do it all the time, not sure bout the others...

There's still time between now and the release of Stalker, so I'm not going to rush into buying anything. I still have my eyes set on the OCZ RAM but from now till then my interest might waver.
I suspcted that the stores would ship from one another, it's just I had no idea they offered different products. Thanks for helping.

I don't care much for Gamedude's prices, and they have an unprofessional air about them which I find uncomforting. If I were to go for anything besides OCZ I guess I'd get a gig of PC3200 Kingston HyperX.
I wish stores provided more stock than just Corsair, this is ridiculous.
