Abit "Serillel" Adapter

If anyone is tempted by this nifty little jobber, allow me to alert you to one problem I had with an IC-7G. . .

If the attached device is powered off by Windows, it can't power back up, causing a system lockup, and requiring a hard reset to recover. This happened in attempting to resume from S3, AND when HDDs were turned off by Windows using timed ACPI functions (ie, "Turn off hard disks" in "Power" settings).

Even when I disabled these functions for diagnostic purposes, the machine seemed to run chunkier with Serillel than with the drive simply attached to a PATA controller.
