R4Z0R is on a distinguished road

??? Motherboard and HD problems...

My motherboard just got wierd all of a sudden, one of the RAM slots isn't working and the comp only loads up if you insert the memory in different combinations.

I was wondering what MB i should get, currently i've got a 3.0 Northwood (socket 478), 1 Gig of PC4000 RAM (4x256), a Gigabyte X800XTPE and couple of SATA HD's.
I wouldn't mind buying a new processor with it but i really don't want to change the GFX card.
How are the 915 and 925 chipset based MBs? (socket 478 or 775 with AGP 8x)
I was also wondering if someone could tell me why my 160GB Samsung HD is 127 GB instead of the promised 160?

Thx in advance.
