I just finished putting together a new computer for myself, you'll see the specs listed below. Sofar I've got three problems I know of. The first one is in my Device Manager, I have a listing for other devices, and below it two yellow question marks with Unknown Device after them. Now earlier tonight while I was browing the Internet my computer just rebooted, and when I got back to the desktop, windows said it had recovered fromn a fatal error. The second instance happened twice while I was playing one of my favorite games. I would get to a certain point and the screen would freeze, the screen would become scrambled and then I'm back at my desktop with the VPU feature of my ATI card saying that it had reset the resolution of my desktop.

I've loaded all the drivers from the Abit installation disk, I don't know what else to do about the Unknown Devices. As for my computer crashing while I was browsing the Internet and then later when I was playing a game, could this be related to my PSU? Do I need a bigger PSU and what size should I get? I'm really clueless as to what is causing these problems, any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any USB devices that aren't functioning properly? They often put "Unknown Device" in the "Other Devices" section. Expand "Universal Serial Bus controlers" at the bottom of the list. You should see your USB Host Controllers and USB Root Hubs. If you see something that says USB Composite Device then you have a USB device that doesn't have the drivers associated with it.

I've seen this with cable modems, printers, cameras, etc hooked up via USB.

The PSU you have listed should have more than enough power for your configuration.

it might be a memory problem. run a memory stress test such as memtest86 to see if it infact is your memory that is causing you your problems.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I appreciate it.

I have two USB peripherals, a scanner and a printer. Both seem to working perfectly and everything appears normal under the USB Controller in my Device Manager. I suppose I could try reinstalling the scanner and the printer if you think it might help. I'm currently using a dail-up modem for my internet connection. I also loaded my chipset drivers right after I loaded windows. My memory was running at 2.6v last night, I have since upped it to 2.8 where it should be, now that I finally remembered about it. So hopefully my computer won't be rebooting by itself anymore (keeping fingers crossed). I will try running memtest in the next few days or so. Thanks again for your help guys.

there is a software called, Unknown Device Finder
Look around on google, if you find it, download it and you'll be able to tell what those are
