New nForce 4 whql Drivers Released V.6.39

NVIDIA has an updated driver package for nForce owners today bringing the driver package revision up to 6.39.

Installation Notes
Windows XP users must install Service Pack 1, at a minimum, prior to attempting to install this package. Failure to do so will result in the inability to support USB 2.0.
Installation of DirectX 9.0 or higher is required in order to use NVMixer.

Release Notes
WHQL certified kit
Standalone drivers with support for nForce4 products, including support for dual-processor systems.
Added support for NVIDIA Disk Alert System
General compatibility fixes.

/me wonders if these would work on nF3 and nF2 systems...
I will download them tomorrow and report when I try. Recent NVIDIA betas worked OK for me, and I doubt these will cause problems if they work.

I installed them fine on my Nforce2 system. It didn't update everything, but did update my audio and IDE driver

yea i updated me audio ide and sbus or whatever that one was and it worked fine on my asus a7n8x-deluxe rev2 nforce2 system. sound is great now and my bass is working currectly now for some weird reason

yeah i too had a problem with parts of the install. i had posted over to this forum a little bit ago with sort of a modified version that would work with my board which is an abit nf7-s v2.

I'm still trying to install the newest Ntune but it keeps saying "can't find nvidia system utility.msi" every time ............... weird weird weird

worked fine for me. wow. the audio drivers are kicking ass i must say. The firewall and advanced tabs are enabled without editing the registry, also you are also able to change between your last 2 speaker setups with the right click system tray icon, like drivers 5.10 had. im digging these. [img]images/smilies/big%20grin.gif[/img]


the firewall actually has options now, as well as the advanced tab, is actually advanced : very cool i must say.

soundstorm boys, definately download this. i can't get over how much better they have improved. so can do so much more than you use to be able 2.
