Assisted SEARCH required...
i've been scrounching the net for the last 2 hours looking for ANY relivant info for this one motherboard..
now it appears that majority of ANY computer i get that i'm told to fix, ends up with the "odd" hardware....
According to gigabyte, they have never made anything of the sort... go figure
Here's the Name:
GA-586AT
THAT'S IT, no revision number no addition letters or characters of any sort.. just plain ol GA-586AT
I need a manual, and i need to find the latest bios for it...
BTW, anyone heard of a Rhino? (motherboard)
problem ATM is, attempting to get a 166mhz P1 to run at it's rated speed.... seems to be stuck on 125mhz reguardless of what FSB/Multiplier i set on the board..... strange.... (according to the onboard FSB/Multiplayer info, the lowest attainable at the given jumper settings is saposed to be 200mhz yet it stil says 125..... (i'm guess it's stuck at 50fsbx2.5 )

I don't have a clue on the problem, but the board is probably from Gigabyte. Try the "Others" slider and browse the various models within the 586AT family. There are quite a few but look around and see if it's possible to pin the correct one down.

i've gone through, like i said before, they simply don't have it listed..
if anyone wants a little more info... it's a 4 ISA/3PCI/6 72pin SIMM slot motherboard
I know those 3 little facts can narrow down the specific boards quite quickly...
but i looked through majority of the manuals that closely resemble the specs of this board.. and they are NOT the same....

Is the board perhaps from an OEM system? Sometimes it's only possible to find information about OEM-boards from the OEM manufacturer, as the actual manufacturer has no obligation to support end users.

there are several gigabyte "GA-586AT?" (but they have a longer string )is listed right on thier site, look in others
http://www.giga-byte.com/Motherboard...oduct_List.htm
there is a Magitronic GA-586AT
etc I need more data
what revision or designator and that do you need? look for a revision number, the bios string, and current bios version/date chipset, color, fccid, anything you have
you have a camera get me some shot of the jumpers/screen printing and i'll see what i can do....
