SD 4x AGP on DDR 8x Motherboard

I have 64 MB SD RAM 4x ATI Radeon Graphics card. Is it possible to run my AGP card on DDR RAM supported and 8x supported motherboard without any harm?

It shouldn't have any issue. The main thing you want to look at is the AGP spec of both the video card and the motherboard. The video card having SDRAM instead of DDR has nothing to do with the AGP bus; that's only for your actual system memory.

More than likely you won't have an issue using your AGP 4X card on an 8X motherboard.

That means i can use my AGP in any motherboard which suport 4x and not looking for RAM (DDR or SD)

with VGA cards RAM type has no effect on whether the m/b supports it or not

most motherboard nowadays are 4x/8x AGP compatible

Absolutely!

The graphics card RAM has no bearing on the motherboard RAM support, the only thing which matters is:

1. Modern AGP 8x and some AGP 4x motherboards will not support old AGP 1.0 Graphics cards (1x/2x) - since they operate at 3.3v, the slot keyways should not even allow them to be fitted.

2. Old AGP 1.0 motherboards can only accept "universal" cards of more recent design - newer and more powerful AGP 8x cards are dropping 3.3v support, and some 4x cards are not fully backward compatible.
