??? Intel 2.4c GHz vs. AMD 64 3200 --Which is best?

Hi, I have two option.

1. Buy Intel 3.0 processor which has H/T technology; or
2. Buy AMD 64bit 3200 processor which support 64bit

Price level of both processors are same in my country (App. $170).

Plz help me.

In my opinion #2 ; no questions asked. You can't compare the performance between a 2.4 P4 and an Athlon 64 3200+.

The Athlon 64 3200 wins in my opinion.

The A64 without a doubt, unless you're planning to overclock the P4 to hell and back.

Here's a review of the 3000+/3200+ vs 3.0/3.2GHz P4s. Should make your choice very clear

I love to be a owner of AMD 64, but the main problem is that I want a MOBO which have builtin decent quality sound card and graphics card.

I have Tk. 20000 / $330 for upgrade my computer. And in my country AMD 64 3200+ is about Tk. 12000 / $200. So I only have $130 to buy a MOBO, sound card and AGP Card. Its a tight budget.

So if any one know a MOBO which have built in sound and AGP card (good quality) under $130 or atleast a MOBO that have decent quality sound card under $100 plz tell me.

Its not really even close, No2. you would need to go to a P4 3200 to compare, or a 3000 overclocked
