Does my 512mb of ram lower gaming performance IE FPS?
i thought taht since i seldom have over 300mb freeram it has to have an imnpact on gaming benching and so on coz the appz need ram and if there is little to use maybe they show less score stutter more and so on????
....depending on the game... 512 is starting to show some lower preformance results.... i myself have learned that while running 1gb.... i wasn't aware of 512mb being so slow.. (currently running 512)
big difference in FPS and overall system preformance.. BIG time
ram itself doesnt affect fps.. if you run out of ram, then you'll notice jerky gameplay, cause your pc will be flushing oldest memory to swap file.. but then it will be back to normal.. for longer or shorter period
For any PC 'gamer' I recommend at least 1 GB of ram now for good gameplay. Going from 512 MB of ram to 1 GB for me was a huge difference in every game that has come out this year so far. This has been the year where the bar has been raised to 1 GB for optimum performance in today's games.
