LCD Monitor, but which one?
Hello,
I am after a new monitor, but i have no idea on what i am looking for apart from the screen has to be a TFT LCD 19" screen.
I have noticed that the price is increased if the ratio is higer.... I have circled these in my diagrams. What does this mean?
I will be using the monitor for games and an application called worldbuilder.
Any help is appreciated.

If you're going to spend over $800 I recommend the Dell 2001FP. It is by far the best LCD on the planet right now for less money than the above. It has all the goodies like 16ms response(no ghosting, like with 25ms), true 24bit color, 1600x1200 native res, PictureInPicture, USB2, and it just plain looks amazing at 20.1"

PS. Dell support is sick, they'll exchange the monitor even if you only have one dead pixel.

I know my LCD is and old POC (Samsung 150s) compared to the ones you are looking at to buy but i thought i'd let you know the problem i am having trying to play games on it, i am limited to 75 Herts refresh rate and when i try to play DSLOA my fps drop down to the teens, i swaped monitors with my son (17" dell CRT) set the refresh rate at 100 Herts and my fps stayed from 30 to 50.

When willl ppl learn, 60 hz is just fine for LCDs, they dont flicker like a CRT at 60hz. Also, 16 ms by no means ensures no ghosting, but it is pretty much the best mass market LCD time you can get and you get used to the ghosting pretty easily unless you are really agitated by it.

I made a referance to refresh rate in regards to gaming at 60hz some of my games will not even play, so you have to set it as high as possible. If you plan to nothing but data processing or surfing the web than 60hz like you say is ok. It would help if you read the whole reply before you go off smashing someone !
