I just wanted to know if anyone has come across system latency with their machines. My brother use to run macro programs quite a bit on my machine, and Im not too sure if the "RAM is drained".. if this is possible. Sometimes my computer will lag for a second or so.. and it's NOT normal. I am running Windows ME once again.. as 128mb's of ram and server 2003 don't cut it for me, and my business venture has stopped, and I dont need to run that OS anymore really... I have the latest BIOS update on my pc (Which is 99 but, they stopped making stuff for my board AGES ago)
Its a VIA Apollo MVP4 chipset, and a LuckyTech mainboard.. DAMN that sounds dodgy

There is very limited information on my board, but lots on other's like it.. but I do not know what to do to fix the problem. I have a Yamaha sound card with a RIVA TnT video card, and a VIA 4 port USB (Heh, its five port, i use the internal one too! Save 20%!) So nothing 'should' be sapping system resources as much as everything being onboard. I noticed speed increase when i got the video card.. but it still happens. I have tried with fresh installs of windows me, and install of server 2003... redhat9 i cannot tell as my computer lags just as much with 128mb's of ram.. Im thinking this is a memory issue.. as redhat runs smooth.. very smooth.. laggy, but smooth. But i like the features and programs.. and games >_< on windows.
Thanks
Nathan
