Gigabyte make motherboards loaded with goodies, but ive never liked the fact they rarely make boards which can take bolton heatsinks. Very few reviews up for that board, I did a google on it. just a few people having issues. have a look around the net for any independent analysis on it before parting with hard earned cash.

Crash Override is an unknown quantity at this point

I actually own this particular board

and other than the fact as Z pointed out that it doesnt allow bolt on HSFs it is a very good motherboard

I have a 2500+ on this thing that will be 3200+ without an issue and with good memory will do up to 2.53GHz but it gets really hot really fast up that high with only the stock cooling so I havent gotten to do full stability tests yet.

I most likely wont be testing it though as I should have a 3000+ here soon.

Once its at 3200+ that will be more than good enough for me

Bah soundstorm is only dolby encoding

Its a Realtek 650 audio codec powering it

And what more features?

The Pro2 has all the features of the original Pro plus the ethernet was upgraded to Gigabit :P

The reason they stopped making the pro board and implemented the pro2 was to cut costs so what about the gb ehternet controller ...lmaooo , the 1st generation board was better and is still well sought after because of the pcb layers.

then why can I overclock higher than the roommate upstairs who has better cooling and one of the original pros along with a 2500+ just like me?

heck I even have 1x 512MB of PC2700 and he has 2x 512MB of PC3200, same manufacturer and type and can still overclock higher than he can

wait till i get the new cooling in this rig

im gonna be tearing it up

If your gonna compare overcclocking to quality then theres an issue....lol...the gigabytes aren't notorious for their overclocking....lolIt could be any variables between the 2 systems which could cause you to be able to get a better "oc" then the other guy.
