Wont boot after changing PSU-Have Beeps

Yesterday my computer suddenly shut off for no apparant reason. After trying repeatedly to power it back up, I hopped downstairs to my old POS computer (which I am using now), and began to cannibalize it for parts. I eventuallly discovered that when I changed out my 400W PSU for my old 120W one, Bootup would be successful. Not wanting to blow out my 120W, I immidiatley turned off the system.

Today I went out and bought a new "Nspire Pentium IV ATX Power Supply", which runs at 430W, has an aluminum casing, and two ball-bearing fans. Nifty eh.

So now the things starts, but I get a Black Screen Of Doom (The monitor does not initialize, its power light just flashes at me), and I recieve two different long, alternating beeps. I looked up a manual for my motherboard, which states that the problem is that the system cannot detect any DRAM attatched to my system. I have posted my system specs below.

I did remove/replace the ram in the tower while waiting to get the new PSU. (The RAM is very close to the CPU/Fan, which I needed to remove in order to attach a temperature monitor)

ASUS A7V133 (Latest Bios)
AMD Athlon XP 2100+
768mb SDRAM ( 1x 512, 1x 256)
Windows XP
Radeon 9700 Pro
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
Thermaltake Xaser III 1000c

I realize most of you will point at my motherboard and run away screaming. However, the motherboard has worked fine for two years now. My fear is that when the old 400w PSU died on me, it could have fried something. However this does not explain how the 120W PSU was able to post the system. (No, I tried, and it does not do it anymore)

Any help=appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Clear out your CMOS and try to boot it up then........if you get the boot screen then just set everything back up the way it should be.

....... if you can't find a way.... MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG YOUR COMPUTER COMPLETELY.... (power wise).... and simply pop the 3.3v battery out for 30 seconds... and pop backin... this will force a cmos clear.....BTW if you know that ram is good (you shove it another machine and it works fine).... those annoying beeps don't tell you much..... Also.. check your FSB settings... on some board... (even new ones)... there may be a switch that allows to auto detect... or to force settings... and when this is triggered... it sometimes gives you a DRAM failure beeps.....basically recheck all conections.... if that fails... step 2 is to remove (or uplug) EVERYTHING.... yes... even the video card... as maybe we might get a video card not present beep... which lets you know that somethings going on...slow replace each peice till it A: works... or B: Something fails....

....Kemal.... don't solder.... some manuals use that term and i hate it.... you use a jumper plug of sorts to basically join the 2 wires... (some manuals state "short" the pins)...... the jumper should be in normal mode by default.... uplug the computer.... and move it from normal... to clear..... and backagain... then connect the power.. and go....

The problem is I dont even see a jumpner. Just two tiny embedded dots on the motherboard, no switches anywhere. I also tried switching out my video card for a different one. I will now try removing the battery, and then removing everything else.

You can also short out those 2 solder points with a small flat blade screwdriver, worked fine for me on another board.

really do what judas said....remove everything and put it back in. When I was trying to solve a problem after putting in a new hard drive, the moniter would not turn on. After I took everything out and put it all back in, it worked again. Something was knocked loose when I was taking out the hard drives apparently...
