NetGear GA302T Gigabit Card And Hub Review

I just purchased 2 netgear ga302t cards and a netgear gs105 gigabit hub. The card and hub have a bunch of neat features. First off they eliminate crossover cables, they auto detect if you have cross or not and make the connection no matter what. Same with the Hub. Well i have to say that this has been one of my best networking purchases EVER! I transfered close to 40gig of mp3's in les than 40 min! I wasn't sure of the performance i would get out of these but man o man i am a happy guy! I have regular lan parties which includes lots of data transfer, my new network is going to make it a lot faster and eaiser. I also have read in reviews that this card takes up less cpu time and reduces your ping in LAN gaming situations. I havent gamed on the network yet so i cant verify this. I usually get a ping of around 13 to 20 in ut2003 games on lan. As soon as i see if this lowers it i will post. BTW the card comes with what looks like a old videocard heatsink on it. This heatsink gets so hot that you cant touch it!!

Just thought i would let fellow DH 'ers know of a good product.
